Egypt VC Summit’s 3rd edition kicks off in February

Arab Finance: The third edition of the Egypt VC Summit is set to take place from February 4th to 5th at the Sofit Downtown Nile Hotel, according to a press release.

Organized by EPEA and GIZ Egypt on behalf of the German government, the two-day event aims to increase foreign direct investment (FDI) by bringing together leading global investors and regional VC funds.

The 2025 summit will gather more than 50 foreign investors, over 70 regional venture capital (VC) firms, and above 20 local and international LPs through specialized GP & LP masterclasses.

It will host over 400 participants, including global family offices, sovereign fund, and international investors, offering a designed platform for meaningful partnership development.

This edition will witness roundtables, signing ceremonies, and focused track discussions that aim to maximize investment opportunities across the banking and family office sectors.

Four key themes will be tackled during the summit, addressing critical market opportunities: ‘New VC Trends & Dynamics’, ‘Sustainability & Climate Tech,’ ‘Cross-Border Investing & Scale’, and ‘Exploring Exits in Africa & Middle East’.

Ayman Soliman, EPEA’s Chairman, commented: "By uniting global investors and regional venture capital firms, this summit catalyzes significant foreign direct investment, bolstering the region’s economic landscape."

In 2024, the investment summit facilitated more than 400 investor meetings and catalyzed $40 million in confirmed investments into Egypt-based VC firms.

This fortifies Egypt’s position as a regional VC hub with unique access to two of the world's fastest-growing frontier markets.

Egypt is an investment gateway in a combined market of 1.6 billion people with $5 trillion in gross domestic product (GDP) across Africa and the Middle East.
