Egyptian Red Sea ports’ cargo handling rises 26.19% YoY in 2024

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Red Sea Ports Authority reports a 26.19% year-on-year (YoY) increase in cargo handling rates in 2024, reaching 8.136 million tons.

Exports through the ports rose by 31.7% YoY to 5.5 million tons, while imports surged by 114% to 2.6 million tons, according to the authority.

Safaga Port recorded the highest activity, with its cargo handling rate rising by 18% to 5.6 million tons during the year.
