Arab Finance: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) showcased Egypt's textile sector incentives at the Denim and Jeans Exhibition, which took place in Egypt for the first time, as per a statement.
The event focused on the textile and denim fabric industries and featured more than 60 Turkish companies and key Egyptian players in the sector.
Deputy CEO of GAFI Yasser Abbas delivered the opening speech, outlining Egypt's competitive advantages in the textile industry, including its advanced infrastructure, specialized industrial zones, and diversified investment systems.
He emphasized that Egypt's textile sector offers strong incentives for investment, backed by a skilled workforce and integrated supply chains.
During the exhibition, GAFI held discussions with Turkish representatives about expanding and developing joint manufacturing opportunities in Egypt.
Abbas pointed out that the country’s textile sector is witnessing significant investment inflows, aided by Egypt’s stable economy and preferential trade agreements with various countries.
This growth aims to meet the increasing global demand for Egyptian textile products, while also boosting exports, creating jobs, and advancing the local technology landscape.
