Arab Finance: The grains and bread prices in Egypt saw a 1.3% month-on-month (MoM) increase in January 2025, CAPMAS reported.

Meanwhile, prices of the oils and fats group edged up by 0.7% MoM.

Similarly, the sugar and sugary foods group saw a 0.7% MoM increase in prices.

As for the coffee, tea, and cocoa prices, they rose by 1.2% last January.

It is worth noting that the consumer price index (CPI) for the food and non-alcoholic segment recorded a 2.1% MoM increase in January 2025.
