January sees Vegetable prices down, fruits up: CAPMAS

Arab Finance: The vegetable prices in Egypt fell by 2.6% month-on-month (MoM) in January, CAPMAS reported.

Meanwhile, the fruits recorded a 9.8% MoM surge, reflecting significant price pressures.

Prices of mineral water, carbonated drinks, and natural juices rose by 1.4% MoM.

It is worth noting that the consumer price index (CPI) for the food and non-alcoholic segment recorded a 2.1% MoM increase in January 2025.
