Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib met with a delegation from Tecnicas Reunidas to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt’s energy sector, as per a statement.
The meeting also focused on the company’s activities and proposed future projects in the country.
As part of his visit to Spain, El-Khatib highlighted the promising investment prospects in Egypt’s energy sector, affirming the ministry’s commitment to providing full support to facilitate the company’s entry and expansion in the Egyptian market.
The minister noted that Tecnicas Reunidas plans to invest in manufacturing boilers for the petroleum sector.
He added that the company has requested the allocation of a berth at one of Egypt’s ports under the free zone system for assembling stations used in the petroleum, petrochemical, electricity, and energy sectors.
Discussions also covered the company’s investment plans in green energy, particularly in hydrogen and green ammonia projects.
The Tecnicas Reunidas delegation emphasized that the company offers integrated services in designing and constructing power generation plants, petrochemical facilities, and natural gas processing plants, with a growing focus on hydrogen and biofuel production technologies.
