Arab Finance: The CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Salaheldin El Sayed Abdel Kerim has signed two agreements during the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025) to enhance operational safety, energy efficiency, and digital transformation in the petroleum sector, as per a statement.
The first cooperation protocol was signed with the Deputy CEO and General Manager of Nalco Water and Process Services Company for the India, Middle East, and Africa Hany Shoukry.
The agreement aims to provide technical support for the corporation’s ongoing and new projects in water resource assessment, recovery, and recycling.
The initiative seeks to meet environmental compliance requirements, optimize energy consumption, and reduce emissions.
Abdel Kerim also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the CEO of Onspec Engineering and Contracting Ahmed Hamdan to introduce advanced digital solutions supporting process automation.
These include advanced process control (APC) systems, operator training simulation tools, and automated control technologies designed to improve operational efficiency across industries such as manufacturing, refining, petrochemicals, and mining.
