Egypt, Croatia pen MoU to launch joint cultural cooperation program

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to implement a joint cultural cooperation program for 2025–2028, as per a statement.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that the MoU marks the beginning of a structured cultural collaboration between the two countries, reinforcing bilateral ties.

The program takes effect immediately upon signing and will remain in place until a new framework is established.

Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hano explained that the program includes cooperation in various cultural fields, such as traditional arts, publishing, music, and audiovisual activities.

It also covers expertise exchange, documentation, and training in cultural development.

The agreement encourages collaboration between national libraries and archives, supports publishers’ participation in international book fairs, and promotes literary translation to foster cultural understanding.

The program further facilitates exchanges of theatrical and musical groups, participation in artistic exhibitions and festivals, and collaboration in audiovisual production, including film heritage preservation.

Additionally, it promotes joint efforts in cultural heritage protection, strengthening artistic and cultural ties between Egypt and Croatia.
