EGX shows positive performance on Tuesday

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, with the EGX30 index rising by 0.50% to 30,587.81 points.

Likewise, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, went up by 0.75% to 3,190.72 points.

The EGX70 and EGX100 index also ended the session higher by 0.55% at 8,591.38 points and by 0.61% at 11,803 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 3.843 billion after 1.726 billion shares were exchanged during the session over 86,462 transactions, while the market capitalization reached EGP 2.253 trillion.

Institutions accounted for 25.80% of the total trading, while retail investors controlled 74.19%.

Egyptian investors took over 85.91% of trading transactions, while foreign and Arab traders represented 7.74% and 6.35%, respectively.

Arab and Egyptian traders were buyers with EGP 69.752 million and EGP 29.045 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with EGP 98.797 million.
