Arab Finance: Hassan Allam Utilities and Infinity have signed a shareholders’ agreement with Misr Petroleum and Gastec to establish Egypt’s first company dedicated to electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, as per an emailed press release.
The signing took place in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
The agreement will leverage the nationwide filling station networks of Misr Petroleum and Gastec to install and operate EV chargers at high-traffic locations across Egypt.
This initiative aligns with the ministry’s strategy to promote sustainable mobility and diversify energy solutions, including electric mobility and natural gas alternatives.
