Arab Finance: Global gold prices edged higher on Monday, February 24th, approaching record levels as a weaker US dollar lent support, while investors awaited key inflation data later this week.
Spot gold rose 0.1% to $2,939.91 an ounce as of 07:03 GMT, after reaching an all-time high of $2,954.69 on Thursday.
In Egypt, gold prices rose collectively at 11:54 am, with the 24-karat recording EGP 4,720 per gram for buying and EGP 4,748.5 for selling, iSagha’s data showed.
Similarly, the price of 21-karat gold went up to EGP 4,130 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,155 for selling.
Meanwhile, the 18-karat gold price hit EGP 3,540 per gram for buying and EGP 3,561.5 for selling.
