SCZone pen $3.3M contract for poultry equipment project in Qantara West

Arab Finance: The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has signed a contract with United Co for Poultry Packaging and Equipment to establish a poultry breeding and production equipment assembly project in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, as per a statement.
With total investments of $3.3 million, the project will be built on 9,800 square meters and provide 100 direct jobs.
SCZone's Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted Qantara West Industrial Zone’s strategic location near fertile agricultural lands, transportation networks, and ports, which facilitates access to raw materials and markets.
He emphasized that the zone supports food industries and agricultural manufacturing, offering an attractive investment environment backed by advanced infrastructure and incentives.
The project aligns with the authority’s strategy to localize poultry equipment manufacturing, reduce import costs, and strengthen local production chains.
By assembling and manufacturing poultry farm equipment with modern technologies, the project aims to enhance production efficiency and improve product quality, contributing to agricultural industry development and self-sufficiency.
