Telecom Egypt’s consolidated profits down 3.7% YoY in 2024

Arab Finance: Telecom Egypt logged consolidated net profits attributable to the holding company worth EGP 10.098 billion in 2024, an annual decline of 3.78% from EGP 11.720 billion in 2023, as per the financial results.
Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) retreated to EGP 4.79 last year from EGP 5.85 in 2023, while the operating revenues hiked to EGP 82.036 billion from EGP 56.679 billion.
As for the standalone business, the telecom group recorded year-on-year (YoY) lower net profits after income tax at EGP 2.786 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 6.983 billion.
Non-consolidated operating revenues jumped to EGP 60.934 billion at the end of December 2024 from EGP 43.697 billion in 2023, while the basic and diluted EPS fell to EGP 0.97 from EGP 3.54.
In the first nine months of 2024, Telecom Egypt posted 5.59% YoY lower consolidated net profits attributable to the holding company at EGP 8.637 billion, compared to EGP 9.148 billion.
