Arab Finance: Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), signed a $4.5 million project with China-based Gold Star Fashion, according to an official statement.
Set to be established on an area of 23,000 square meters within the Qantara West Industrial Zone, the project will manufacture high-quality clothing at competitive prices.
It will offer 2,000 job opportunities and will export all of its products, supporting the SCZone’s objectives to enhance exports and raise the added value of local industries.
Gamal El-Dien highlighted that the Qantara West Industrial Zone became a new global destination for the textile and ready-made garment industry, attracting 15 projects within 20 months.
He added that the project contributes to supporting the national economy and increasing job opportunities, as it will create 2,000 new jobs.
