Arab Finance: Egypt signed four cooperation agreements with Sanofi and the Gustave Roussy Institute to enhance healthcare services and strengthen Egyptian-French collaboration in the health sector, as per a statement.
Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said the deals mark a new phase in Egypt’s longstanding partnership with France in the healthcare sector.
He stressed their role in developing Egypt’s health system, promoting knowledge exchange, and improving service quality nationwide.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the first agreement with Sanofi focuses on raising public awareness about vaccines through media campaigns and workshops that highlight disease prevention and the economics of vaccination.
The second agreement introduces awareness programs for children, nurse training, digital tools for patient monitoring, and environmental impact studies on digital healthcare solutions.
The third deal aims to educate both the public and healthcare workers on rare and genetic diseases while working to reduce their spread through field outreach and training sessions.
The fourth agreement outlines the establishment of a licensed oncology center offering integrated cancer treatment in line with international standards.
The facility will operate under the guidance of Gustave Roussy, one of Europe’s leading cancer institutes.
The Health Ministry will manage the technical and organizational aspects of all initiatives.
