Arab Finance: Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and Algeria’s Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energy Mohamed Arkab discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the mining sector, according to a statement.
The two sides also reviewed cooperation in exploration and development of fields, as well as refining and petrochemicals, along with the trade and marketing of liquified natural gas (LNG).
Furthermore, the two ministers addressed projects for the production and marketing of green hydrogen.
They also stressed the importance of leveraging the available opportunities in the mining sector, particularly in the phosphate transformation industries and fertilizer production.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the OMC Med Energy Conference and Exhibition 2025 in Italy.
