Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib met with a delegation of major French companies affiliated with MEDEF International to discuss bilateral economic and investment cooperation, according to a statement.
The meeting comes as part of French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Cairo and aligns with the Egypt-France Business Forum.
El-Khatib highlighted the importance of reinforcing the partnership between Egypt and France to open new horizons for investment cooperation between the two sides.
The minister also asserted that Egypt is a key gateway to regional markets and represents a strategic opportunity for French investors to expand their business in the Middle East and Africa.
He also affirmed the government’s interest in providing a stable and encouraging investment environment through ongoing legislative and administrative reforms.
The two sides also touched upon cooperation in the fields of the green economy, renewable energy, and advanced technology, given their effective role in boosting national development plans.
