Basata launches new digital payment card to back cashless transactions in Egypt

Arab Finance: Basata Holding for Financial Payments, a leading digital payment company, has launched a Basata Card in partnership with Connect Money, a fintech company focused on banking technology, as per an emailed press release.

The new card aims to offer safe and easy financial services for both individuals and merchants, as part of Basata’s plan to help more people use digital payments and support the move towards a cashless society in Egypt.

With the Basata Card, users can withdraw money from any ATM in Egypt and make purchases online or in stores.

Cardholders can also send money instantly to other card users. If the card is lost or stolen, it can be quickly deactivated to keep the user’s money safe.

The card is simple to get, and anyone with a national ID can apply, with no complicated steps required. It is designed to be easy to use and available to everyone, including people who do not have access to regular banking services.

For businesses, the Basata Card helps manage money faster and more efficiently, which can improve daily operations and support business growth.

Basata will keep adding new features to improve the user experience and strengthen the digital payment system in Egypt.

“The launch of “Basata Card” in collaboration with our strategic partner, Connect Money, marks a new milestone in our journey to bring about a transformative shift in the digital payments sector,” Karim Shehata, CEO of Basata Holding for Financial Payments, commented.

“Our vision is centered on building an advanced financial environment that ensures secure, fast, and reliable access to payment solutions for all. “Basata Card” stands as one of the key tools in realizing this vision,” he added.
