Macron’s visit to Egypt marks new chapter in French-Egyptian relations

Arab Finance: Mohamed Saad, President of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF) in Egypt, said that French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent visit to Egypt is a turning point in the strong and growing relationship between the two countries, as per an emailed press release.

Saad explained that the visit reflects how deep and strategic the partnership has become over the years. What started as traditional diplomacy has now turned into a real model of long-term cooperation based on shared interests and mutual respect.

The relationship between Egypt and France is built on solid foundations, now covering many important areas like the economy, energy, transportation, and healthcare, he said.

As Macron’s visit comes at a time of global uncertainty and the Middle East is facing serious challenges, Saad noted that strong partnerships like this one are more important than ever to support peace and development.

During his visit, Egypt and France signed nine agreements worth €262 million. These deals were signed in the presence of top Egyptian ministers, Kamel El-Wazir, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and Rania Al-Mashat, along with several French officials.

The agreements are backed by the French Development Agency and focus on major sectors like transport, water, energy, and health.

Saad also praised the increasing role of French companies in Egypt. He said they are investing more and expanding their work, showing strong confidence in Egypt’s future.

French companies believe in Egypt’s potential, with the country’s location and opportunities in many sectors making it a key place for business and growth, he pointed out.
