Gold prices in Egypt record collective rise

Arab Finance: The gold prices in Egypt recorded a collective increase on Wednesday, with the 24-karat hitting EGP 5,280 per gram for buying and EGP 5,302.75 for selling, according to iSagha’s data.

Likewise, the 22-karat gold price surged to EGP 4,840 for purchasing and EGP 4,861 per gram for selling.

The 21-karat price increased to EGP 4,620 per gram for buying and EGP 4,640 for selling.

Moreover, the 18-karat gold grew EGP 3,960 per gram for buying and EGP 3,977.25 for selling.

The gold pound’s price recorded EGP 36,960 for purchasing and EGP 37,120 for selling.

Finally, the price for the gold ounce went up to $3,308.93 for buying and $3,309.22 for selling.

Globally, the gold prices reached a new record high, exceeding $3,300 per ounce, driven by the escalating trade war waged by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, which boosted demand for safe-haven assets.
