Cabinet approves DB-Elsewesy contract to operate high-speed electric train network

Arab Finance: The cabinet has approved the National Authority for Tunnels' contract with DB-Elsewedy to manage and operate Egypt’s high-speed electric train network, as per a statement.

The network includes three lines: line 1 runs from Ain Sokhna to New Alamein and extends to Marsa Matrouh over 660 kilometers; line 2 connects Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Abu Simbel with a total length of 1,100 kilometers; and line 3 stretches 225 kilometers from Qena to Hurghada and then to Safaga.
