CBE announces June 26th, July 3rd as official public holidays

Arab Finance: All banks operating in Egypt will be closed on June 26th and July 3rd in observance of the Islamic New Year and the June 30 Revolution, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly declared the two days as official holidays for employees of ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, and public business sector companies.

June 26th will be a public holiday to mark the Islamic New Year, instead of the Gregorian date corresponding to the first of Muharram 1447 AH.

July 3rd will be a public holiday to commemorate the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, in place of Monday, June 30th.
