During this tour in Tokyo, El-Khatib met with the head of Toyoichi Tsusho and his team, as well as representatives from the Egyptian Elaraby Group, to review the company's investment projects in Egypt, including its engineering glass production project.

The planet aims to produce high-precision architectural glass for use in major construction projects, which will strengthen Egypt's local supply chains and position it as an industrial hub for export to regional markets.

The meeting also explored cooperation in expanding engineering glass manufacturing by utilizing Japanese technology, creating job opportunities in the specialized glass industry, and supporting Egypt's exports of glass products to Africa and the Gulf region.

Additionally, the minister had a meeting with a number of senior officials from Nissan Motor Company, one of the world's largest automakers with a strong presence in emerging and developed markets.

El-Khatib also followed up on the latest infrastructure investment projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), urban cities, transportation, and ports.
