Egypt ships 150,000-cubic-meter LNG cargo via TotalEnergies vessel to Turkiye

Arab Finance: The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the export of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from the Idku liquefaction facility aboard TotalEnergies' LNG ENDURANCE vessel, as per a statement.

The shipment departed from Idku Port bound for Turkiye, carrying approximately 150,000 cubic meters of LNG.

This export is part of the ministry's ongoing strategy to attract international investments in Egypt’s natural gas sector by supporting exploration and boosting local production.

It also aligns with efforts to strengthen partnerships with global energy companies and enhance Egypt’s position as a regional hub for LNG trade.

Within this framework, the ministry is working closely with TotalEnergies to expand its investments in the deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea through a series of new exploration projects.

The company benefits from Egypt’s advanced LNG infrastructure, which facilitates faster development timelines and lower operational costs, reinforcing Egypt’s role as a key player in regional energy exports.
