PwC inaugurates Technology and Innovation Centre in Egypt

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has inaugurated the Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre (ETIC) affiliated with the UK-based consultant company PwC, according to a statement on May 17th.

The center, which was established with $10 million in investments, aims to innovate digital solutions and apply them to several fields, including cloud computing, data analysis, and cybersecurity, as well as roll them out in the Egyptian market and export them to the Middle East and Europe.

The center has appointed 400 tech experts so far. It will create 5,000 job opportunities until 2025 and will achieve $300 million in digital exports within three years.

The ETIC’s launch in Egypt is part of PwC’s plans to expand in the region, along with accelerating the process of digital transformation.

Moreover, it is part of Egypt’s efforts to boost its competitiveness in the fields of outsourcing and transnational services industries.
