Egypt receives 1.4M tons of sugar cane from farmers so far

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade said that total sugarcane crop supplied by farmers during the 2023 season amounted to 1.4 million tons, producing up to 139,000 of sugar, according to a statement by the ministry on January 30^th.

Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company’s head Essam El-Din El-Budaiwi said that Egypt is expected to receive a total of 8 million tons of sugar cane to produce up to 830,000 tons of sugar by the end of the season.
