Egypt signs MoU with VMware to launch multi-cloud initiative

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology penned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the global cloud infrastructure firm VMware to launch a multi-cloud initiative, the Egyptian ministry stated on September 15th.

During the first year of launch, the initiative aims to train 5,000 trainees in the fields of multi-cloud, software development, communications, and training of trainers.

Egyptian Minister Amr Talaat and CEO of VMware Raju Sarikonda discussed enhancing joint digital transformation cooperation, in addition to expanding the firm’s business in the Egyptian market.

Talaat also probed with Jared Morrison, COO of the global customer care firm VXI, the establishment of a communication center affiliated to the company in Egypt.
