Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have probed fostering cooperation in several fields, especially electricity interconnection and new and renewable energy projects, according to a statement.
This came during a meeting between the Minister of Electricity Mahmoud Esmat and Head of the EIB Regional Hub Guido Clary and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities in the areas of electrical interconnection with neighboring countries, distribution network control centers, unified network development and power generation plants.
Furthermore, the meeting tackled the possibility of developing substations and other projects to revamp the electricity grids.
