Arab Finance: Cairo International Airport handled 2.756 million arriving and departing passengers across 19,357 flights during July 2026, compared with 2.654 million passengers on 19,013 flights a year earlier, according to a statement.
Passenger traffic increased 4% year-on-year (YoY), while the number of flights rose by 2% during the month. The airport recorded 1.346 million passengers on 9,689 flights, while 1.410 million passengers arrived on 9,668 flights, reflecting continued growth in air traffic and the efficiency of the airport's operational system.
For his part, Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of Cairo Airport, said the results reflect the effectiveness of the airport’s development and modernization plans, as well as ongoing coordination among the various entities operating at the facility.
This performance aligns with directives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHAAN) to boost operational efficiency and enhance quality of services.
In May, Cairo International Airport launched a new official mobile app, designed to serve travelers and facilitate their experience as part of the government's ongoing digital transformation efforts.
