Egypt’s Economic Indicators Performance in FY 2022/23

Egypt has recorded a primary surplus of EGP 164.3 billion, equivalent to 1.7% of the gross domestic product (GDP), according to the initial indicators of the financial performance for fiscal year (FY) 2022/23 issued by Finance Ministry.

Total revenues hit EGP 1.501 trillion in FY 2022/23, with an annual growth rate of 11.5%, while tax revenues reached EGP 1.2 trillion.

The total deficit stood at 6.2%.
