Egyptians Move Towards Online Banking

The volume of online transactions in the Egyptian market reached EGP 3 trillion during the first half (H1) of this year, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

A total of 20.3 million transactions worth EGP 112.7 billion were conducted via InstaPay during the first year of the applications’ launch. (March 2022 until March 2023).

InstaPay is the first e-payment mobile application licensed by the CBE via the National Instant Payment Network.
