Egypt’s Sources of Foreign Currency in FY 2022/23

Egypt’s sources of foreign currency in FY 2022/23 included merchandize exports worth $3.96 billion, net foreign direct investments (FDI) $10 billion and Suez Canal revenues worth $8.76 billion.

Tourism revenues hit $13.63 billion in FY 2022/23, while remittances from expats hit $22.1 billion.
