Strategic Commodities Prices Hike in 2023

Gold prices in Egypt grew by 21.2% from January to December in 2023.

A gram of 21 karate of gold was priced at EGP 1,686 in January and soared to EGP 2,044 in December, as per date from BTC Egypt Gold.

Diesel price in Egypt grew from EGP 7.25 per litre in January to EGP 8.25 per litre in December, as per data from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The price of the 80-octane gasoline increased to EGP 10 per litre in December from EGP 8.75 per litre in January.

The price of the 92-octane gasoline climbed from EGP 10.25 per litre in January to EGP 11.5 per litre in December.

The price of the 95-octane gasoline rose to EGP 12.5 per liter in December from EGP 11.50 in January.
