Egypt unveils GovTech Innovation Lab for startup empowerment

Arab Finance: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has unveiled the GovTech Innovation Lab, an initiative aimed at empowering startups in the GovTech sector and enhancing digital public services, as per a statement by the ministry.

Backed by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in partnership with industry giants like AWS, Huawei, and Microsoft, the GovTech Innovation Lab aims to revolutionize government services through technological innovation.

Strategic collaboration with organizations such as Flat6labs and Robusta further underscores the initiative's commitment to nurturing a dynamic GovTech ecosystem.

The program, spanning three to five months, offers startups comprehensive support, including training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. It targets GovTech startups dedicated to addressing societal challenges and aims to boost Egypt's global standing in digital transformation.

With a deadline for applications set on April 13th, the GovTech Innovation Lab is poised to drive impactful change in Egypt's digital landscape, empowering startups to develop innovative solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of society.
