El-Sisi ratifies law allowing private entities to operate healthcare facilities

Arab Finance: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has ratified Law No. 87 of 2024 allowing private entities to set up, manage, and operate healthcare facilities for a period between three and 15 years, according to the Official Gazette.

The law is effective as of June 24^th, with its executive regulations to be released within a month.

However, the law is not applicable to healthcare facilities offering health services key to national security or basic healthcare and birth control units and centers as well as facilities operating blood and plasma collection.
