Arab Finance: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Orascom Financial Holding (OFH) has appointed Mohamed Abdel Moneim Omran as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Representative of B Investments Holding Company, as per a disclosure.

Omran, an expert in direct investment, holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Cairo University and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of California.

He has not held any governmental positions before.

Earlier this year, B Investments Holding purchased 3.311 billion shares or a 68.9% stake of OFH.

In February, B Investments offered to acquire up to 4.249 billion shares, representing 90% of the capital of OFH.
