Sahara International Agricultural Exhibition kicks off in Cairo

Arab Finance: The 36th edition of the Sahara International Agricultural Exhibition has officially begun at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, as per an emailed press release.

The event, which runs from September 15th to 17th, was inaugurated by Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

“The government is striving to improve the agricultural landscape by expanding arable land and reclaiming lands, such as the New Delta and Mostaqbal Misr, to meet food needs and reduce the gap between production and consumption,” Farouk said.

“These efforts are part of the Agricultural Development Plan 2023-2024, which includes investments totaling EGP 116.6 billion,” he pointed out.

Held under the patronage of the Cabinet, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and the Ministry of Investment, the event is recognized as one of the largest agricultural events in Africa and the Middle East.

The exhibition brings together over 250 companies from different countries.
