Emaar’s Alabbar seeks to attract share of $90B Gulf tourism spending to Egypt

Arab Finance: Emaar is looking forward to drawing in a portion of the massive $90 billion annual tourism spending by Gulf countries to Egypt, with a special focus on attracting Gulf tourists to the North African country, as per an emailed press release, quoting the company’s Chairman Mohamed Alabbar.

Speaking in an interview to a TV channel during the Saudi National Day celebrations at Marassi in Egypt’s North Coast, Alabbar highlighted that 60% of the event's guests were first-time visitors to the North Coast.

He pointed to this as a strong indication of the North Coast’s potential to attract more Gulf tourists.
