Arab Finance: Egypt and Norway’s SCATEC have probed cementing cooperation in the green hydrogen field, according to a statement.
This came during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and the Norwegian firm’s CEO Terje Pilskog on the sidelines of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference in Germany.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the Egyptian government’s plans in the green hydrogen field as well as the green energy projects set to be implemented with SCATEC, especially the green ammonia production project in Port Said and the green methanol production project.
For his part, Badawi stressed the government’s commitment to eliminating all obstacles to develop the hydrogen sector, allowing the country to leverage the existing resources and turn into a regional and international hub for hydrogen.
