Egypt’s annual core inflation hits 23.7% in November

Arab Finance: The annual core inflation in Egypt recorded 23.7% in  November 2024, compared to 24.4% in October 2024, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on December 10th.

The monthly core consumer price index (CPI) reached 0.4% last November, compared to 1.3% last October and 1% in November 2023.

The CBE’s data also showed that the annual urban headline CPI hit 25.5% in November, versus 26.5% in October.

Earlier that day, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that Egypt’s annual headline inflation rate eased to 25% in November 2024, compared to 35.9% in the same month of 2023.
