Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly discussed Egypt’s economic reform file with Jared Cohen, Co-Head of Goldman Sachs Global Institute, as per a statement.

During the sidelines of the 55th annual World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Madbouly highlighted the Egyptian government's ongoing efforts to accelerate the implementation of the economic reform program amid the current regional as well as global challenges.

The state is taking the necessary measures to provide an attractive investment climate that supports the private sector and enhances its role in economic activities, Madbouly added.

He noted that the government is achieving many positive results and indicators through its cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) despite external challenges.

The Prime Minister stated that the government prioritizes key sectors, such as tourism, agriculture, industry, and information and communications technology (ICT).

On his part, Cohen affirmed his awareness of the size of the Egyptian economy's external challenges. However, he stressed investors’ keenness to seize many promising opportunities in Egypt.
