Petroleum, Environment ministers probe roadmap for carbon reduction in oil companies

Arab Finance: Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, discussed the development of a roadmap to establish carbon reduction projects within oil companies, according to a statement.

The proposed projects will be developed while taking into account the needs and conditions of various petroleum work sites.

The two ministers affirmed Egypt's full adherence and commitment to international treaties to preserve the climate and environment, in addition to cutting emissions.

Moreover, they stressed the importance of deploying advanced technologies in implementing oil and gas production targets with the least possible impact on the environment.
