Arab Finance: O West, the fully integrated town by Orascom Development in West Cairo, has signed an operating agreement with Blue Ribbon, a premium sports club management company, to run the O West Sports Club, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, as per an emailed press release.
The club is positioned to become a cultural, social, and athletic hub for West Cairo, offering state-of-the-art facilities designed to serve both elite athletes and families.
To mark its opening, O West Sports Club will host the CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025 from September 8th to 19th, bringing the world’s top-ranked squash players to Egypt for the second consecutive year.
By hosting this globally recognized tournament, O West underscores Egypt’s position as a leader in squash while strengthening its profile as an emerging destination for international sporting events.
The club will feature a squash complex with eight courts, a football complex including a main pitch and four five-a-side fields, a swimming complex with family, leisure, training, and Olympic-standard pools, clay tennis and padel courts, multi-purpose arenas, fitness and wellness centers, children’s zones, and a variety of social spaces aimed at fostering community ties.
In line with Orascom Development’s model in El Gouna, its flagship Red Sea town, O West seeks to offer an integrated lifestyle that blends sports, wellness, and community living.
The sports club is expected to serve as a cornerstone of this vision, adding long-term value for residents and setting a benchmark for modern urban living in Egypt.
The CIB Egyptian Open Squash Tournament will inaugurate the facility in September 2025, offering sports fans and media the chance to experience world-class competition at the heart of West Cairo.
