Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad resigns

Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has accepted the resignation submitted by Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, according to an official statement issued on July 20^th.

Hence, Madbouly assigned Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, to assume Fouad’s duties until a new minister is appointed.

On May 22nd, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres annoucned the appointment of Fouad as the Executive Secretary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
