Egypt’s annual core inflation records 11.6% in July: CBE

Arab Finance: Egypt’s annual core consumer price index (CPI) inflation hit 11.6% in July 2025, compared to 11.4% in June, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data showed.

The monthly core CPI inflation registered -0.3% last July, lower than -0.5% during the same month of 2024 and -0.2% in June 2025.

The monthly urban headline CPI inflation reached -0.5% last month, compared with 0.4% in July  2024 and -0.1% in June 2025.

As for the annual urban headline CPI inflation, it recorded 13.9% in July 2025, versus 14.9% last June, the CBE data highlighted.

On August 10th, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) data revealed that Egypt's annual headline inflation slowed to 13.1% in July from 14.4% in June.
