Egypt-Spain trade exchange hits $1.5B in H1 2025

Arab Finance: The bilateral trade between Egypt and Spain reached $1.5 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, versus $1.6 billion in the same period of 2024, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The value of Egyptian exports to the European country amounted to $712 million in H1 2025, compared to $803.1 million in the year-ago period.

On the other hand, Egyptian imports from Spain hiked to $802 million at the end of June 2025 from $782.6 million in H1 2024.

In the H1 of fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, Spain injected total investments valued at $61.4 million in Egypt, versus $62.2 million in the previous FY. Meanwhile, the Egyptian investments fell to $28.9 million from $38.1 million.

Remittances from Egyptians working in Spain jumped to $21.6 million in FY2023/2024 from $18.9 million in FY2022/23.

Likewise, remittances from Spanish people working in Egypt grew to $4.9 million from $3.8 million.
