Arab Finance: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced that Saturday, November 1st, 2025, will be an official paid holiday due to the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening ceremony, as per a statement.
The decision is applicable to ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, and public sector companies.
It also follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during a meeting held to review final preparations for the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening ceremony.
The holiday aims to facilitate the smooth organization of movements for foreign delegations attending the ceremony, which will be attended by kings, heads of state, and senior officials from several countries, alongside prominent international figures.
The decision also allows Egyptians to follow the long-awaited celebration marking the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the country’s most significant cultural landmarks.
