Cabinet ratifies draft law on establishing national council for green hydrogen
Updated 8/30/2023 3:13:00 AMArab Finance: The Egyptian cabinet has approved a draft law on the establishment of a national council for green hydrogen and its derivatives, according to a cabinet statement.
The council will be headed by the Prime Minister, and it will include several ministers and officials as members.
The council aims to unify the country’s efforts to promote investments in the field of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
Additionally, it will follow up on the execution and update of the green hydrogen national strategy, set the policies, plans, and mechanisms required to implement the strategy and update it, along with coordinating with the concerned authorities.
It will also be in charge of proposing the solutions required to face investment hurdles as well as revising the legislation, regulations, and rules regulating the green hydrogen sector.
