Egypt seeks to welcome 4.5M Arab tourists in 2024

Arab Finance: Egypt aims to increase the number of visitors from Arab countries to 4.5 million tourists in 2024 from about 3.1 million tourists in 2022, Chairman of Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation Amr El-Qadi told Asharq business on September 16th.

Egypt received more than 7 million tourists during the first half (H1) of 2023, marking the highest number in the country’s history.

The number of tourist arrivals to Egypt is expected to reach 15 million people by the end of 2023, with its tourism revenues likely to hit $15 billion.

It looks forward to attracting 18 million tourists in 2024 and 30 million in 2028.
