Egypt's exports of food products climbed by 31% year on year (YoY) to reach an unprecedented value of $1.6 billion during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry. 

Saudi Arabia emerged as the leading destination for Egyptian food exports, with imports totaling $131 million, followed closely by Palestine at $99 million and Libya at $83 million.
